I have had a wonderful opportunity to present TheraPaint in two art showcases in Detroit. Exhibitions are a wonderful way of connecting with different types of people coming together to appreciate one another.
In between shows, I’ve been asked by my friend and curator, James, to hold an exhibition in one of his buildings located in Detroit. James is eager to activate the Detroit neighborhood and is an advocate for artistry and community support. He is well connected with the community and an enthusiastic participant. The building which is hosting our event is quite a charmer with multiple levels of exposed brick and an overlooking mezzanine. It is located on Michigan Ave and awaits a potentially more permanent partner. I am excited to have TheraPaint collaborate with James Chung and other contributors including Two James Spirits, Great Lakes Coffee, and Ron Cooley of O’Connor Real Estate in this endeavor that will debut my first solo exhibition in this rather intriguing space.
We will be hosting a Holiday Gala on December 23rd, 2017. Our aim is to gather new and old friends towards an evening filled with art, music, and good conversation.
Food, drinks, and music will be provided by wonderful sponsors.
