He is called, ‘Compassion’. Whales are singing creatures that experience complex emotions. They feel compassion for other animals and defend them when necessary.
The original painting was made with watercolor, charcoal, and ink, on watercolor paper.
The back of each print will be signed, titled, and dated. I may also sign the front of the print by request.

Such a sweet and whimsical piece that brings me a lot of joy when I look at it in my office. I would love to see “Compassion” and it’s sister piece hanging in an ocean-themed bedroom or bathroom. This painting fills me with nostalgia, remembering one of my favorite books from childhood that illustrated and described the most common whale species of the world and their behaviors.
