Art for Myofascial Release

Embrace Myofascial Release

One of the best things about being commissioned for an art piece is being able to really connect with the message behind it!

Embrace Myofascial Release

Leah, the founder of Embrace Myofascial Release in Bloomfield Hills, MI asked me to represent her company with an artistic touch. Leah is a licensed physical therapist and Myofascial release specialist with over a decade of experience. To create a great experience for her clients from start to finish, Leah wanted an original painting of her branding greeting them as soon as they walk through the door.

Embrace Myofascial Release Logo

Leah asked me to create an original painting that incorporated her branding with a creative spin. I love adding an artistic touch on a brand’s logo – it is a great way to bring out their personality a bit more.

Relating to the subject

As someone who experiences Myofascial pain, I felt connected to this commission on an artistic and personal level. I thought about what it would feel like for people like me to walk into a space looking for release and hope. Would they want to see a painting that welcomed them in? Would they want to be greeted with an uplifting piece of artwork? Would they feel inspired by the movement in the piece?

Mockup Options

To begin the process, I showed Leah a couple of mockup styles and asked which one she wanted to move forward with. Leah loved the second mockup and its simplicity.

Custom Palette

Next up, creating a customized color palette! I selected and blended a few acrylic paint colors for each of the 4 colors in the brand’s color palette. Each one is created with a customized formula so sometimes, that takes an extra round or two to color match the original palette.

Painting Process

And so it begins! After getting Leah’s approval on painting style, color combinations, and size, I can now begin the painting process. I start first with a sketch of the main focus, the word ’embrace’. Underneath, I hand draw each letter of ‘myofascial release’. The lettering is all in the same font style as the branding – making for a cohesive theme.

After the logo and each letter is carefully measured and drawn, I then go in and paint the letters with the custom color palette.

For me, painting the logo was the most fun part. It was exciting to see the beautiful lush base layer topped with the splatter paint of the rest of the color palette

Here is the final piece in its entirety!

Leah loved it! And I was also very pleased with how it turned out. I love the energy in the painting and the uplifting color choices of the brand.
