Here’s the good, the bad, & the truth behind my TheraPaint Sessions

‘IMPACT’ Exhibition

The Art Spread’s IMPACT Exhibition

If you read my last blog post, you know all about how excited I was to showcase my new collection at ‘IMPACT’ Exhibition on November 12th at Gong Art Gallery hosted by  The Art Spread.

As Co-Founder, Creative Director, and Featured Artist of The Art Spread, I worked on all aspects of curating, exhibiting, planning, and organizing all things for the show. And I am SO proud to say that it was an exceptional experience for everyone!!

Experiencing the Art

I have to be honest, when all the work was done and we were ready to open the doors, I stepped back and was in AWE of how incredible everything came together!!

We showcased over 60 pieces and with this being the first time I’ve curated a group exhibition, I was quite proud of how the display flowed from one space to another. We received the most encouraging feedback from our guests. The word of the day was “impressed” – I call that a success!

None of this experience could have been possible without God’s grace and the dedication and support given by my partner Nadin, husband Mateo, The Art Spread Committee Members, Volunteers, and all the support you give through donations, art purchases, and encouraging words!

Let’s Rewind A Bit

We started off the weekend by collecting our donation from Trader Joe’s. They gave The Art Spread beautiful bouquets of flowers and sparkling cider for us to offer at ‘IMPACT’ Exhibition.

Once all of the Costco and Michael’s shopping was finished, we headed over to the gallery to setup with Marina and Mateo. Idk about you, but behind the scenes is where the most precious and hilarious memories are made! I truly enjoyed the time I got to spend with this small crew and all of the things we created together.

Jet, the gallery owner, graciously allowed us to set up the night before and morning of the event. We had just enough time to rearrange furniture, adjust some details for the display (because you know digital diagrams don’t equal reality), and bring our show to life!

Connecting in Real Life

The show begins! Champagne is being poured, hors d’oeuvres are being munched on, and artwork is being admired. This felt like a dream come true for The Art Spread…

Since the beginning of The Art Spread journey, I got to connect with so many unique souls nationwide. ‘IMPACT’ Exhibition gave us the opportunity to gather together in one place and be surrounded by inspiration. I’m so grateful to have met, hugged, and chatted with each and every one of you!

Family Love!

If anyone knows how challenging and rewarding life has been, it’s my family. They have seen me at my lowest after my hit…unable to walk, drive, and enjoy the simple things in life. Over the years, they saw how God transformed my life from a frightening mess into something glorious.

At ‘IMPACT’, they got to celebrate that transformation with me <3

Showcased Art

I had the honor of displaying my work amongst the diverse and talented collective of artists. The Art Spread gave each of its Featured and Supporting Artists space to showcase their finest and most meaningful pieces. So much so that some people were truly moved by what the artwork represented.

My statement from ‘The Refresh Collection’ almost brought someone to tears! That’s the power of art – the opportunity it offers for people to connect with your feelings and peek into your soul.

‘The Refresh Collection’ and ‘For The Sake of Healing’ are exclusively through The Art Spread’s Online Gallery.

I’d love to know how the ‘IMPACT’ Exhibition experience was for you!
