Here’s the good, the bad, & the truth behind my TheraPaint Sessions

The Art Spread’s First FA

The Art Spread’s First Featured Artist

There’s a huge part of my life that you may not yet know about! It’s called The Art Spread
TAS is a nonprofit organization that I co-founded with Nadin Said in 2020. Through it, we share art and spread awareness.

The Art Spread features artists with stories involving mental, physical, and societal challenges. The goal is create a more compassionate society through art and encourage a more inclusive culture. We can do that when we share our vulnerabilities in a safe and supportive space. You may know a bit about my story and art journey. If not, check it out here

Aside from being co-founder of The Art Spread, I am also the Creative Director annnnnddd……the First Featured Artist!

Being a Featured Artist means that I get to tell my story with the support of an empathic community. Best of all, I have priority in The Art Spread’s shop page! The pieces below are exclusively available through the nonprofit. Each one is a tax-deductible purchase and is used to support my art career and spread The Art Spread’s message of inclusion.

To keep the theme of sharing honesty and expression, I got to answer thought provoking questions about life behind the scenes for an artist like myself. It was such a fun experience and I loved giving readers a sneak peak into my life! Wanna know my favorite art tools and music playlists that I listen to while creating? Figure that out and more through my interview.

This month, my season as a Featured Artist has ended. My work is still available through the shop page and I will continue being deeply involved with The Art Spread in many ways! I wrote a note about my transition from being FA to supporting my fellow artists during their featured season.

Read my heartfelt message below to have a better understanding of how precious my connection with The Art Spread is!

“Being involved with The Art Spread has truly changed my life. As a Featured Artist, I shared my artistry with people that I wasn’t able to reach before. I feel more confident in sharing my story, my fears, and my hopes because I know now that I am not alone. This supportive community has shown me that incredible things can happen when people show compassion and express their vulnerabilities. I used to feel alone in my suffering…searching for anyone who can relate. I’ve found more than what I ever expected within The Art Spread’s growing community. We support one another’s life’s work and personal well-being. I am so grateful to have been The Art Spread’s first Featured Artist. While my season as FA is up, I will continue to be involved with The Art Spread as Director. My art is still available through The Art Spread’s shop alongside other amazing talents. Best of luck to my fellow Featured Artist! I am very excited for Gray’s upcoming experience.”
