‘The Corona Collection’ is a series of paintings I’ve started to
1️⃣ help with my anxiety through this pandemic,
2️⃣ share some color and comfort with the world,
3️⃣ capture this unprecedented time in our lives.

Though this quarantine hasn’t caused much of a change in my personal daily routine, it has definitely filled my head with extra paranoia and stress.

I’ve been doing this “social distancing” thing for over 3 years now. I know what it’s like to have your world turned completely upside down out of nowhere; to lose your sense of purpose, routine, and trust in the world.

Without warning, life as you know it has changed. Trust me when I say, this isn’t the end…this is a part of life! We are not guaranteed a breath of clean air. We are not guaranteed prosperity. We are not guaranteed safety in this world. Don’t fret, there’s hope! There’s hope in Jesus Christ. We are guaranteed salvation if we seek it. We are guaranteed paradise if we accept Jesus as our Savior. And who doesn’t need a Savior in this place we call Earth? It’s beautiful and it’s scary all at the same time.

The only thing that’s gotten me through life so far is knowing that my life is not my own, it belongs to our Creator. My purpose is not my own. My purpose is to use the circumstances that God has put me in and to glorify Him through the process. Whatever you believe your purpose is, use it now.

We have been designed so specifically. Use that God-given talent, skill, knowledge that you have been blessed with and share it with the world. I will use art. I will spread my art while this virus spreads. I will spread my story even after this has all settled (and it will). I urge you to spread your blessings and to share with us what your purpose is. Praying for us all to walk through this as gracefully as possible.
