The Freedom Collection

Welcome to ‘The Freedom Collection’

I created The Freedom Collection as a message of encouragement to you and to me as we embrace our own sense of freedom. Every day we are faced with pressures of life coming at us from all directions. With that, we may feel burdened with fear, guilt, expectations, limitations, and other chaotic thoughts that clutter our minds. I know I do.

The abstract paintings in this collection are each a gentle reminder to release all of that.
There is no rigid structure here. No harsh lines. No demands. Only freedom.

I am filled with joy to present these ten 4” x 6” abstract watercolor paintings that are delicately mounted on a 7/8” cradle wood panel. They are created as warm, visual reminders of the freedoms we are each chasing. Each piece is intimate in scale yet layered with deep meaning. You’re invited to come close, rest your eyes on the layered washes of watercolor, and to find the shiny sparks spread throughout the entire piece.

Pairing my collections with beautifully composed music truly creates an immersive art experience that enriches multiple senses at once. I invite you to listen to Max Richter’s “The Poetry of Earth” as you take a closer look at this collection.

When I hear this delicate musical piece, it deepens the connection between sound and imagery. At times, it inspires hope and courage, at other moments, it recognizes our vulnerabilities, much like my art practice.

Painted with soft, flowy, organic forms, these works mimic the natural flow of life…unpredictable, complex, yet balanced.

Gentle washes of color blend into one another without force, while metallic splatters dance across the velvety paper, catching the light and reflecting richly. These details symbolize moments of clarity, breakthroughs, and the sparks of courage that guide us towards freedom.

In a time where we are surrounded with pressure from society, this collection was created as an exploration of what it means to let go. To let go of those extra burdens we place on ourselves.

Each painting represents a different kind of freedom, one that many of us are constantly seeking but can’t quite grab a hold of. With The Freedom Collection, I make those sought-after freedoms tangible.
